About us – how it all began:
FIREFLASH RECORDS was born and founded in the hot summer of 2022, with the idea to focus and support old-school metal acts and the Heavy Metal Underground in general.
The label was created by Markus Wosgien, who is also running Atomic Fire Records (Epica, U.D.O., Lordi and more…) and was a part of Nuclear Blast for almost two decades, working as an A&R and leading the promotion department with acts like Nightwish, Sabaton, HammerFall, Blind Guardian, Avantasia, Doro, Accept and many more.
With the possibility to sign the German Thrash Metal cult act Holy Moses for their final studio album and re-release some back-catalogue classics of them, the idea turned into a plan. Giving his friends in Mystic Circle a new home, was another matter of the metal heart, as their friendship goes back to their early records on Last Episode, which were promoted by Markus Wosgien, who was also running the „Circle Of The Tyrants“ fanzine by then, which had Mystic Circle on the front cover once.
After Holy Moses and Mystic Circle, three more acts joined Fireflash during the same time: the Swedish Thrash Metal force Mezzrow with their brilliant reunion album, the overwhelming British Heavy Metal newcomers Tailgunner as well as the italian Black/Death legion The Modern Age Slavery, who will release their fourth album via Fireflash Records.
FIREFLASH RECORDS is considered as a sublabel of Atomic Fire Records, distributed worldwide by Warner Music/ADA, with the exception of Japan, where the releases are licensed to Ward Records, as well as South America, where Shinigami takes care of the physical products.
